Expelled Samajwadi Party leader and Lok Manch founder Amar Singh on Tuesday said he wanted to repent for the mistakes he made in the last 14 years while being with the SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav.

"For the last 14 years principles and values were tattered...at that time sitting on Mulayam Singh's side I kept on tolerating everything...I too have committed mistakes and have come here to repent," Amar told reporters.

He had sought forgiveness from the Muslims for having remained a mute spectator to Mulayam's friendship with Kalyan Singh, who is "responsible for the Babri mosque demolition".
