The process of registering Yatris for this year’s Shri Amarnathji Yatra shall commence on March, 01, for both the Baltal and Chandanwari routes, through designated bank branches.
In an extensive review meeting held on Friday by the Shrine Board Chairman NN Vohra, involving Navin K Choudhary and other concerned functionaries of the Board, decided that the registration process should start earlier by March 1 for Yatra 2014.
Choudhary informed, that it is essential for the Yatri who wish to undertake this year’s Shri Amarnath Yatra can register themselves from Registration Counters located all across the country through designated Branches of J&K Bank, YES Bank, and Punjab National Bank spread over all the States/ UTs.
Details of the registration centres has been made available on the Shrine Board’s website, www.shriamarnathjishrine.com.
CEO further stated that, this year’s Yatra shall commence on June28 and wind up by August 10 Raksha Bandhan.
The CEO said, "it is essential for the applicant- Yatri to submit Compulsory Health Certificate while seeking registration for this year’s Shri Amarnathji Yatra. The format of the Health Certificate has been circulated by the Union Health Ministry and the J&K State Health Department to all States/ UTs and is also available on the website of the Shrine Board."
He also informed that all states/ UTs have been asked to submit lists of medical Institutes who would be authorised to issue the Compulsory Health Certificates to the eligible Yatris. He added futher that the lists will be published on the website as soon as these are received and certificates would be only after they are issued after February 01.
