Where are the spinners? That was the question on everyone’s lips on Day 2 of Delhi’s Under-22 CK Nayudu match against Railways.

Resuming at their overnight score of 35 for no loss, Railways went on to score 422 for the loss of four wickets. Boddu Amit hit an aggressive 101, while Rakesh Mishra was batting on 176 when play ended. Delhi bowlers, especially the spinners, had an unforgettable day, conceding nearly 200 runs.

Leg spinner Vartik Tihara (2 for 62 off 14 overs) returned the best figures for Delhi.

Brief scores: Delhi 1st innings 204 all out vs Railways (overnight 35 for no loss) and 422 for 4 (Boddu Amit 101, Rakesh Mishra batting 176, Mohd. Arif batting 72; Bharat Veer 1-67, P Suyal 1-87, Tihara 2-62).
