Rohan Bopanna and Prakash Amritraj failed to make it to the Wimbledon main draw after going down in the second round of qualifiers.

Amritraj, ranked 285th, went down 5-7, 6-7 (4) to German Benjamin Becker at the All England Lawn Tennis Club on Tuesday.

The US-based Indian had earlier beaten Massimo Dell'Acqua of Italy 6-1, 7-6 (4) in the first round.

Bopanna, the highest ranked Indian on the ATP circuit with a ranking of 252, lost to Robert Kendrick 6-4, 6-4.

The 26-year old, who squared up against world number one Roger Federer at Halle, Germany, last week, had defeated Tomas Cakl of the Czech Republic 6-3, 6-4 in the first round.
