Ecstatic over securing bail after a brief prison stint following conviction in Mumbai serial blasts case, Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt on thanked his family and fans for supporting him in the troubled times.
In his first comments after reaching his Bandra Hills residence from Yerwada jail in Pune where he was lodged after his conviction, the actor said he had "full faith in the judiciary of the country".
"I just want to thank my people of my country, the love of my fans, I want to thank the media for being so supportive to me...I want to thank my family, I love them," Dutt told reporters in a voice choked with emotion.
He also thanked noted jurists Fali S Nariman and family friend VR Maohar for their support.
"They all have done a great job and I really appreciate that," Dutt, who immortalised the character "Munnabhai", added.
The actor, sentenced to six years' RI under the Arms Act in the 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts case, had spent 37 days behind bars in his second stint this year in the jail, from where he had been released earlier on an interim bail by the apex court and re-lodged on October 22.
