Office-bearers and members of the district Awami National Conference (ANC) at a meeting held here on Saturday under the chairmanship of party district president Vijay Magotra, expressed concern over the failure of power development authorities to respond to the problems being faced by people in Gole Pully, Talab Tillo, and adjoining areas for the last more than four days.

Pointing out that the transformer installed near the Talab Tillio agriculture office had been damaged due to a short circuit, forcing people to live in the dark for the last four days, office-bearers alleged that in spite of repeated requests to the authorities concerned, the damaged transformer has not been replaced.

An appeal was made to the government to replace the transformer and restore power supply immediately to ensure that Republic Day celebrations go smoothly.
