Andhra Pradesh Governor E S L Narasimhan, on Friday, greeted the people of the State ahead of the Independence day on Sunday.

In a message, the Governor said Independence day is 'a day of remembrance as well as dedication.'

It is the time to bow in reverence to the memory of all those whose sacrifices made it possible for us to enjoy freedom, he said.

The governor said six decades of strong economic growth and social justice in the State needs further impetus in a green environment. "Let us build a society where freedom of one does not hurt the other, where the weak emerges stronger and where the glow and glitter are not just a matter of history", he said.
