The anti-corruption activist, Anjali Damania, who has accused the BJP president Nitin Gadkari of being hand-in-glove with Ajit Pawar in the massive irrigation scam in the state, on Friday said that there was no question of apologizing to Gadkari.

She said, "I am ready to meet him on the court."

Damania, an activist of India Against Corruption (IAC) and closely associated with Arvind Kejriwal, was in the city to meet prominent people to discuss plans for the proposed political party that Kejriwal wants to float for the 2014 elections.

"Since last night I have met several people and there are many who want to join the political party to take on the big established political parties like the Congress and the BJP which have failed to curb corruption," said Damania.

She also hinted that on October 16, IAC would come out with explosive revelations against a prominent political leader.

Asked about the legal notice served by Gadkari after allegations of complicity with former deputy Ajit Pawar and NCP supremo Sharad Pawar, she said she was not deterred by the notice.

"Within hours of receiving his notice I replied to him that I was ready to meet him in the court and fight the case," she said.

She said on August 14she had met Gadkari in Mumbai through a persons who knew him.

"Gadkari was not aware that I was an IAC activist," she added. She went to him to seek help as 59-acre of her land was being acquired for an irrigation project but Gadkari refused any help.

Damania clarified that after her exposure, she has not met Gadkari but has accepted the challenge of his defemation notice.

The IAC activist denied that she had demanded favours or committed irregularities when procured 59 acres of land in Karjat where an irrigation project is coming up.

The State authorities swung into action two days only after she filed a PIL on April 10, 2012.

To a question, she said she was not having any idea about availability of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat but would like to meet him and apprise the developments.

During her visit, Damania met a number of activists involved in crusade against corruption and social activists.
