Anna Hazare on Wednesday strongly condemned the attack on noted lawyer and member of his team Prashant Bhushan by two youths, saying nobody has the right to take law in their hands.
"I strongly condemn the incident. Nobody has the right to take law in their hands," he told reporters in Ralegan Siddhi.
Hazare said he will speak to Bhushan and find out the reason behind the attack.
"He (Bhushan) is our team member. I will ask him about the reason behind the incident. After getting the details, we will decide what to do," the anti-corruption crusader said.
Bhushan was beaten up by two youths suspected to be from Sriram Sene in Supreme Court lawyers' chambers in Delhi this evening as they were apparently upset with his stand on Jammu and Kashmir.
Bhushan was speaking to a TV news channel when the two youths barged into his office opposite Supreme Court this afternoon and started showering blows on him.
Asked about Bhushan's stand on Jammu and Kashmir, Hazare refused to comment.
On whether security should be provided to his team members, he said, "I feel security should be given."
