Social activist Anna Hazare on Sunday morning found his Scorpio vehicle missing from the circuit house at the pilgrim town of Aunda Nagnath, about 200 kms west from Aurangabad, where he had checked in after addressing a public rally on Saturday evening.
Anna Hazare, who got a complaint filed with the police, through his driver, before he could make an alternate arrangement to get out of the town, has though not yet given any specific reason why and how the vehicle ( MH 17-5205) could have been stolen from the high police security that surrounds him.
Anna, enjoys a high security status and on Saturday, Nanded superintendent of police, Phate Singh Patil, himself had made it a point to be present personally at the public rally that Anna had addressed earlier in the day.
According to sources at the circuit house, Anna had come down with a convoy of vehicles and most of its drivers were moving in and out of the circuit house the entire Saturday night. "There was a hectic activity in the night, and it occurred to me the drivers were having a nice time," a watchman at the Aunda circuit house told
