BURGLARS STRUCK at several places in the State capital on the night intervening Saturday and Sunday. The spurt in burglaries has come at a time when dacoits have already unleashed terror in the State capital.
In the first incident, the burglars targeted a house in Govindpura. Police said the burglars struck at 247/N-2 and looted gold and silver jewellery apart from cash. On the complaint of the victim, the police have registered a case and begun investigations.
In the second incident, burglars struck at the house of Santosh Verma, an advocate, in Arera Colony, the same night. The family was away at the time of the incident. Incidentally the same house had been burgled recently and the thieves targeted it again. The value of goods stolen from the house is yet to be ascertained.
In the third incident, goods worth thousands were stolen from a factory in Industrial Area in Govindpura. The complainant, Shridhar Raman, informed the police that burglars decamped with welding machine, regulator, cable compressor and other equipments. The Ashoka Garden police are investigating the matter.
