Railway Police have registered a complaint against three unidentified persons for allegedly making threatening calls to M S Bitta, Chairman of All India Anti-Terrorist Front.
Three calls were made threatening to kill Bitta, a former Youth Congress President, on his mobile which were received by his Secretary Saurabh Bahl, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) Railway Police Station said.
"Bitta is in Mumbai for some work. The calls, made by unknown persons, were received by Bahl who was travelling in a CST-bound train from Vile Parle on Saturday night," police said today.
"When Bahl reached Mahim station at around 11.45pm, one person called him on mobile phone and said he belonged to the 'Company' in Dubai and said January 26 would be Bitta's last day," police said.
"Two more calls were received on the mobile and one caller said he was from 'Mujahideen' while the other abused Bitta," Bahl said.
