Son of Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal and BJP candidate from Hamirpur Anurag Thakur was among the four candidates who filed their nominations for Lok Sabha polls in the state in the last phase of elections on May 13. BJP nominee from Kangra Lok Sabha Rajan Sushant also submitted his papers.
Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal, senior BJP leader Shanta Kumar and party in-charge of the state Satyapal Jain were present during nominations filed by both the candidates.
Independent candidate Satpal filed his nomination from Hamirpur parliamentary constituency while CPM candidate Onkar Sad submitted papers from Mandi Parliamentary seat.
With these candidates, total 13 nominees have filed their nominations for the four seats -- Shimla (reserved), Mandi, Hamirpur and Kangra -- in the state so far, sources in the state election office said.
Anurag is seeking re-election from his home constituency of Hamirpur. He is pitted against BJP rebel Narendra Thakur who switched sides to Congress.
