Actors on the set of Mel Gibson's new movie Apocalypto are defending Gibson in the face of criticism after he made anti-Semitic remarks during a police arrest.
According to hollywood.com, Gibson had openly expressed his hatred for Jews after he was caught speeding and the comments shocked the Hollywood community. Actor Maurcio Amuy who became Gibson's close friend on the set of the movie says that Gibson is nothing like the anti-Semitic character the media is writing about.
He said: "I never heard Mel say on the production... 'I hate Jewish (people).' I never saw Mel drunk - maybe he had two or three drinks."
