Armyman arrested for 'spying'

Sensitive documents have been seized from the possession of Ritesh Kumar, 24, an Army signal man posted in Leh.

An Armyman has been arrested from the Capital on charges of spying and sensitive documents seized from his possession.

Ritesh Kumar, 24, an Army signal man posted in Leh, was arrested on Friday from the Airport, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Alok Kumar said.

Acting on a tip off, sleuths of the special cell arrested him as soon as his Jet Airways flight from Srinagar landed in Delhi at 10 am, he said.

A pen drive and some defence-related documents were recovered from his possession. Kumar, who hailed from Bihar, was supposed to hand over the sensitve material to somebody in Kathmandu.
