IN A move aimed at augmenting its resources, the Bharat Bhavan Trust has decided to open its art gallery for lending to artists.
The decision to this effect was taken at the trust meeting on Tuesday. The art gallery will be given to an individual on a rent of Rs 3,000 and to a group for a rent of Rs 5,000.
The trust also discussed the proposed silver jubilee function of Bharat Bhavan and decided the list of programmes to be held during the function. The State Government has earmarked Rs 22.5 lakh for the function and further aid has been sought from the Centre.
The trust also authorised the Trust Secretary and the Chairman to decide on pending service matters of officers and staff of Bharat Bhavan.
It was also decided to seek additional funds from the State Government for revival of theatre section of multi-arts complex, Rang Mandal.
The Trust decided to nominate Kamal Kishore Goyanka on the investment committee of Bharat Bhavan. The editorial board of Bharat Bhavan’s magazine ‘Purvagrah’ has also been expanded and two Trust members Kamal Kishore Goyanka, Vinay Rajaram and Dileep Chinchalkar have been included in the board besides its editor Rameshwar Mishra ‘Pankaj’.
