High profile London-based businessman Arun Nayar hosted another grand party at the hilltop Devigarh Palace near Udaipur even as speculation was rife about the presence of his girlfriend, Hollywood actress Liz Hurley.
The party, which started on Friday evening, continued till early hours of Saturday morning as friends and relatives of Nayar were served a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, according to well-informed sources privy to the occasion.
"Friday night saw another grand party at the front lawns of the hotel where over 60 guests were entertained by folk artistes of Jodhpur. This part of the hotel was specially decked up with powerful lights and sound systems," a source said, adding that all 39 special suites of the hotel were booked from November 9 to November 12.
"Nayar is slated to hold another party on Saturday night. The hotel management has been asked to decorate the hotel with lots of flowers and rangolis (floral designs). Looking at the arrangements in the hotel, it seems as though a wedding or a pre-wedding party would be held here," the source said.
Many friends of Nayar went for sightseeing in Udaipur on Friday evening.
Two more parties are likely to be held at the palace, where Hurley and her family members are expected.
Nayar and Hurley were reportedly to tie the knot in March 2007, though there are rumours that the wedding could be solemnised on Saturday or Sunday.
Nayar had hosted a party at the Devigarh Palace about two years ago as well.
On the other hand, suspense over Hurley continues as to whether she has reached Udaipur or not. But if sources are to be believed, Hurley has already arrived.
Devigarh Fort Palace is situated 26 km northeast of Udaipur. Tucked away in the Aravali hills of Rajasthan, the 18th century palace is known as one of the perfect romantic getaways in Rajasthan.
A host of friends of the celebrity couple, including top industrialists and Bollywood stars, are also expected.
