City-based film-maker Ashish Munna Pandey's film "The Cabin Man", based on the story of a railway cabin man abandoned by his family, has won the best film award at Tehran International Short Film Festival held between November 13 and 19, sources said.
The film was shot at Karjat station near Lonavala, they said.
The film shared the trophy, citation and 1500 Euro with Iran's "Closer Than Breath".
Ashish, who hails from Nagpur, earlier worked as a sound engineer for Star TV's famous game show "Kaun Banenga Crorepati".
He has also worked with the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute.
