Two youths, including the son of a police assistant sub-inspector, were arrested after the police found them driving a stolen Swift car at check post laid on Kachwa road near here.
The check post was laid by a team of the crime investigation agency (CIA). The accused have been identified as Satish and Ravi. Satish's father is as ASI and posted at Haryana Police Academy, Madhuban, near here.
Police said that during the inspection, the two could not produce the registration card of the vehicle. During interrogation, the two admitted that they had bought the stolen car from a local car dealer, Kaka Motor Service, and a fake number plate was used to dodge the police. The CIA produced the two in a local court on Friday. They have been remanded in police custody.
