AsinAsin was in her make-up van yesterday, readying for the shoot of her Tamil film Kaavalkaran in Karaikudi, when a weird smell wafted around her and made her suddenly uneasy.

According to a source from the sets, within five minutes her make-up man had fainted and seconds later, Asin also started feeling breathless.

She had to be rushed to a hospital that was 20 kms from the location. The doctors there attributed her sudden illness to a gas leak.

Says the spokesperson of the actress, “Yes, it is true. There was a gas leak and Asin had to be rushed to hospital. But she’s fine and so is the rest of the crew. She has been discharged and has already resumed shooting.”

Kaavalkaaran that pairs the Ghajini actress with South superstar Ilayathalapathy Vijay is a remake of the Malayalam blockbuster Bodyguard, and is being directed by Siddique, who directed the original too.

This is Vijay and Asin’s third film together, after the super successful Pokkiri and Sivakasi. Buzz is that a Hindi Bodyguard too could be on the cards with Salman Khan in the lead.
