Assam blasts: Two being questioned

Two persons, who resemble with the sketch of suspect in the October 30 serial blasts, were being interrogated by the Special Investigating Team (SIT) in Guwahati.

The SIT has zeroed in on a couple of persons, who resemble with the sketch of a suspect released by the police on Tuesday, at the court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate in Pan Bazaar, sources said.

They said vital clues have been gathered and two persons were being interrogated. The police had temporarily delayed the release of three more sketches of suspects, sources added.

Meanwhile, the police on Wednesday released the chasis number of two vehicles, which were used for the blasts in Pan Bazaar and Ganeshguri.

The vehicle used for the Pan Bazaar blast bears chasis number 8-B-1 N 303447 and engine number 224948, while the vehicle for the Ganeshguri incident had chasis number 2016720 and engine number 3043461.

The police said if anybody comes forward and gives any information then his/her identity would be kept a secret and the informer will be rewarded.
