Akkriti Bhatia (17), a commerce student, complained of breathlessness to classmates and then called her mother on a friend’s mobile, asking for a car to come fetch her. When the car arrived, she sought her teacher’s permission to go but noticing her condition, the school authorities rushed her to Holy Angels Hospital, a kilometer away. Hospital authorities said she died on the way.
Bhatia’s family and a few students said she could’ve been saved had the principal called an ambulance and not waited for her car to arrive.
