ATM robbed on railway road

Two unidentified persons, impersonating as bank staff, robbed an Axis Bank ATM booth on Railway Road and fled with Rs 7.5 lakh on Sunday, police said.

Two unidentified persons, impersonating as bank staff, robbed an Axis Bank ATM booth on Railway Road and fled with Rs 7.5 lakh on Sunday, police said.

The incident took place around 4am and the security guard was also present. The accused were on a bike when they reached the branch and the guard Sanjay Kumar was asleep. Posing as bank officials, they took the keys from him, opened the machine, took out cash and fled.

Police said they will examine the CCTV footage to find out more details.
