As cases of car thefts continue to rise in the city, residents feel that even authorised parking lots are not safe for their vehicles.
In the last one month, about a hundred vehicles have been stolen from different areas. From Sector 58 police station area, a total of 28 vehicles were stolen. The number was 22 in Sector 20, while around a dozen vehicles each were stolen from Sector 49, Sector 24 and Sector 39 police station areas.
According to police, five luxury cars were stolen from across the city in the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the police on Sunday night arrested three auto thieves and recovered seven stolen motorcycles, they said. Several Delhi residents who come for shopping at Noida markets have also complained their cars were stolen within hours.
