Axis bank to expand operations in Orissa

Axis bank, country's third largest private bank has planned to expand its operational base in Orissa.

"Axis bank will spread its network with more branches in cities and district headquarters towns of the state," Anindya Sen, senior vice-president, east zone of the bank, told reporters here yesterday.

At present the bank has 32 branches in the state.

"We are laying emphasis in the state. To reach out more people, more branches are being opened up shortly," he said while inaugurating a branch of the bank in Kendrapara.

This marks another step towards the extensive consumer banking focus that we are providing across the country, he said.

Axis Bank, the third largest private sector bank, offers services like Large and Mid-Corporate Banking, SME Banking, Agro-Business Banking, Retail Banking and International Banking.
