THE ASSOCIATION of private B Ed Colleges would again write to the State Council of Education Research and Training (SCERT) and the School Education Department to carry out a fresh phase of admission process to fill up about 25 per cent of seats that have remained vacant in these colleges.

At the end of the institution-level admission process carried out during last weekend, almost 25 per cent of the 28,000-odd B Ed seats in the State private colleges have remained vacant.

Looking at the high number of vacancies, the Shiksha Mahavidyalaya Prabandhan Sangh has decided to write to the State Council of Education Research and Training and the School Education Department urging them for a fresh phase of admission process keeping in view the decision of the Universities’ Coordination Committee that admissions to vacant seats in any discipline could be conducted till September 30, Association president Sanjay Pandey said.

Pandey said if there were no response to this demand, the Association would also approach the Governor and Chief Minister in the matter.
