SWAMI RAMDEV on Friday said the Indian Cricket squad, which is performing poorly in South Africa should start practising ‘yoga’ to improve its performance and get good results.
At the same time, the yoga guru said, cricket stars should keep themselves away from advertising business and stop promoting things of carnal pleasure and luxury, especially soft drinks. Rather, he said, they should concentrate on the game and win laurels for the nation.Swami Ramdev said yoga helps instill confidence and temperament among the Indian cricketers.
Talking to the media persons at Dumna airport in Jabalpur, Swami Ramdev said the cricket stars were the role model of the youth in the country so they should ensure that they don’t promote products like soft drinks in advertisements.
Taking a dig at the promoters of sex education among the kids to check AIDS, he said by such education, the children learn things that they ought not to at the tender age. He said that it was ironical to learn that the kids belonging to the age group of 5 are playing with condoms.
He said rather than promoting safe sex or adultery with use of condoms to overcome the killer disease AIDS, there was a need to promote yoga, especially among the kids. Yoga would cleanse mind and build nation strong spiritually, mentally and physically, he opined.
