AFTER JOTTING down his awful experiences of the underworld in a novel ‘Adhoora Khwab’, kidnapping kingpin Om Prakash Srivastava aka Babloo Srivastava now appears keen to tie the nuptial knot.

The don decided to marry a Lucknow-based lass who had been a co-accused with her would-be groom in a case lodged by the special task force (STF) sleuths about four years ago.

Babloo’s plea to seek parole for the marriage was turned down by the apex court two days back. But the order did not affect his plan to marry the ‘beloved’ even though the marriage may be delayed for some time.

While talking to mediapersons, Babloo, who was in Lucknow today to appear in a case in court, revealed that the girl was known to him since his university days here.

On the contrary, sources revealed that the girl was at least 10 years younger to the don. Sources said that she came into contact of the kingpin barely five years ago during Babloo’s stay in Lucknow district jail. Babloo, who had been lodged in Bareilly jail for a long period, used to stay here frequently those days on the pretext of hearing in cases in Lucknow and Kanpur courts. The girl, who was reportedly engaged with a daily newspaper, came close to the don while visiting him in jail. In the process of keeping a close watch on the activities of Babloo and his close aides and putting their cellphones on surveillance, the STF sleuths had come across regular telephonic conversation between this girl and the jailed don.

The conversation, sources revealed, was intimate and the don had proposed to the girl and she had accepted. The girl had later helped the don get several SIM cards and these were distributed among his gang members for an operation. The STF, however, arrested the gang members and the operation could not be accomplished. A case was then registered against the don and his cohorts and the girl was also made a co-accused.

Babloo claims that his marriage would be a ‘never before’ affair and his invitees would include ‘big names’ in the country and from abroad too.
