The main accused in the alleged rape and murder of two cousins in Badaun was granted conditional bail by a local court on Thursday.

Additional district judge Anil Kumar granted conditional bail to Pappu Yadav and his two brothers - Avdhesh Yadav and Urvesh Yadav - arrested along with two constables, who were granted bail three days ago.

According to Pappu Yadav's counsel, Jawahar Singh Yadav the bail of the three persons has been accepted on personal bonds of two lakhs each as well as sureties of the similar amount.

The counsel said that the documents relating to the bail would be produced in the court tomorrow and they would be released after their verification.

They would also have to give an undertaking that in case of any evidence was found against them in future, they would present themselves in the court and would neither try to contact nor influence any witness or investigative agency.
