Bagh Sevania SHO stays on

Highlight Story

IT IS indeed a measure of Bagh Sevania police station house officer (SHO) Anand Mohan Diwan’s political clout that he is still posted in the district against the explicit wish of virtually all BJP bigwigs in the district including in-charge minister Raghavji Bhai.

When Diwan was posted at Habibganj police station, BJP leader Kartar Singh Tomar had complained against him for patronising criminals and harassing his son.

Following that, district in charge minister Raghavji wrote to Minister of State for Home Nagendra Singh on May 23 last recommending immediate transfer of the police officer outside Bhopal district.  Until that happens, the police officer should be line-attached, Raghavji had said in the latter.

The Finance Minister’s letter was backed by recommendation of MLA Uma Shankar Gupta and district BJP chief Surendra Nath Singh to transfer the officer outside Bhopal.
