As a precautionary measure, on Satuday, the district administration asked all the educational institutes to suspend their classes following the bandh call given by Bajrang Dal to protest against the recovery of 16 dead cows near here.
Police have been deployed in the sensitive areas,told by the Superintendent of Police Vedprakash Sharma to PTI.
The situation was peaceful and no untoward incident has been reported, the SP said.
Sixteen dead cows were recovered from a truck on its way to Maharashtra from Rajasthan and one person was arrested in this connection, he said.
The cows presumably died of suffocation in the truck, police said, adding the incident came to light when three persons were trying to dispose of the dead bovines at a jungle in the district.
The truck was packed with around 35 cows, police said.
The truck driver and cleaner managed to escape from the spot.
Police have impounded the vehicle and a hunt has been lauched to arrested the duo who escaped.
The dead cows were disposed off after the veterinarians examined them, police said.
