Urging people to actively participate in social work, Himachal Pradesh transport minister GS Bali on Sunday said that the Congress government was doing its best to satisfy people and its election manifesto had been made an official document for its implementation.

Bali was speaking at a state-level function of the Himachal social body's federation at Sujanpurtira kaswa of the district.

He said efforts were on to make HP a dream state of people and adequate job opportunities would be provided to unemployed youth during the Congress regime.

Bali gave a clarion call to people asking them to rally in support of the Congress and oust the BJP from the state politics in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He dubbed the BJP as a party of liars and opportunists.

The transport minister said that his department would provide basic transport facilities in all villages of the state and people should not be misguided by the propaganda of the BJP that transport services were in a mess in the state.

He hailed the work of various social bodies active in the state and said that such bodies were needed all over the state.

Bali said a deluxe bus service would be launched between Sujanpur and Delhi.
Local MLA Rajendra Rana said social bodies should be provided all help as they were working hard for the wellbeing and welfare of general public.

Bali honoured many people for their contribution to society, including parents of India's proud shooter Subedar Major Vijay Kumar of Harsaur village of Hamirpur.
