One day after the SBI manager of Kanishi branch in Ganjam district was shot at and injured, police on Wednesday claimed to have identified the miscreant.
"We have identified the person as his photo has been captured by the close circuit camera inside the bank", Superintendent of Police, Berhampore, R K Sharma said.
The manager of the Kaishi branch of the State Bank of India, S K Behera, was shot at and injured by the man when he was refused to open an account as the attacker turned up after banking hours.
The manager, under treatment at the M K C G Medical College Hospital here, was stated ot be out of danger.
It was the third bank crime in Ganjam district in a week. The dacoits on September 23 had decamped with a cash of around Rs 2.74 lakh from the Indian Bank's Gopalpur branch.
Two computer monitors were looted from SBI's Brundaban Bihar branch on September 22 last, in the second incident.
The SP however said that different persons were invoved in different bank loot incidents and all have been identified.
