Deepak Ohri, manager of Mezzaluna restaurant and the brain behind the mega extravaganza, wanted to promote Thailand as a destination for the mega rich.
All profits from the dinner on Saturday would be donated to Médecins Sans Frontières and the Chaipattana Foundation - a rural development charity set up by the Thai King.
Nine chefs were especially flown in from Germany, Italy and France to present their signature dishes.
"Never before have these nine chefs been in the same room, let alone sharing their skills. We are not looking at the individual costs of this or that, but at the total experience we are offering," Ohri was quoted as saying by Timesonline newspaper.
"Some guests are among the world's most prominent business people - seeking a unique adventure in the realm of gastronomic celebration," he added.
Among the dishes served were crayfish, scallops, black truffles, tartare of Kobe beef with Imperial Beluga caviar and Belons oyster.
In all, 10 different wines were served during the 11-course dinner, which ended with a 30-minute fireworks display.
Wine costing 5,000 pounds a bottle was specially flown in temperature-controlled containers a fortnight ago, stored in an air-conditioned room and decanted two hours before the meal. It was served at just below 18 degrees Celsius before warming up to room temperature in the glass.
