The Cricket Board will get an update on the fitness status of three Indian players who could not take part in the washed out opening one-day match against Sri Lanka at Kolkata because of injuries.
"The team is traveling and team physio John Gloster will give me an update on the fitness of the three players. But I am confident all of them will be fit to play in the match here which is important as the World Cup team is to be announced in Mumbai on February 12," Shah told reporters here on Friday.
Yuvraj Singh, Irfan Pathan and Ajit Agarkar missed the Kolkata tie which ended in no result because of unseasonal rains.
Yuvraj was having stiff back, Agarkar was indisposed and Pathan had a sore bowling shoulder.
But Shah also said that the fitness troubles facing the trio did not cause any major worry for the team as India's first World Cup tie was more than a month away.
"If the physio (Gloster) is confident (that the player will be fit in time) and the player himself is confident he will be selected," said Shah.
