BCCI should come under RTI: Maken

Against the backdrop of allegations of spot-fixing during T20 matches, Union Minister Ajay Maken on Sunday said the BCCI should come under the ambit of RTI Act. "BCCI should agree to come under RTI. Any organisation entrusted with job of selecting a National Team can not call itself a Private Body!," Maken, who till recently held the Sports portfolio, tweeted.

Cricket Australia reports Warner for twitter rant
sydney: David Warner was Sunday reported for an alleged breach of Cricket Australia's code of conduct after a Twitter rant directed at two journalists while defending India’s T20 league. "Warner is alleged to have breached Rule 6: Unbecoming Behaviour, regarding comments posted on his Twitter account," CA said in a statement.

Seniors stalled agents’ accreditation: Sources
new delhi: The BCCI top brass always wanted an accreditation process of players' agents but the proposal met with resistance from senior players. "A few years back, BCCI was ready to carry out accreditation process of the agents but it met with a lot of resistanc,” an official told PTI. "There were reports that during India's last tour of Australia, there were atleast 5-6 agents who were staying in the team hotel and acted like players' extended family,” he added.
