You’ll see them on the arms of fashionable page three socialites and you’ll see them on fashion-forward college belles on Delhi streets — multicoloured beads are in vogue this season and women are sporting them in all possible combinations.
Designer Alka Bali who just got back from London says the trend is hot internationally. “I saw a lot of floral beads in various shades of green and purple.”
Jewellery designer Payal Gupta advises, “round wooden beads don’t suit everyone, as they can make your frame look heavy,” and advocates semi-precious beads.
“The deep green lustre in Columbian emerald beads and Coral, a trend that took off last year, is catching up fast in the Capital. But the trick also lies in wearing just the right amount of strings according to your body type.”
