Having a ghost as their permanent resident in their luxury home in the South of France has forced British football captain David Beckham and wife Victoria to put the house up for sale.
According to an insider, when Posh and Becks decided to buy the 2.55 million dollar home, no one bothered to tell the couple that the 19th century mansion in the village of Baregemon, near the Cote d'Azur, was still inhabited by the spirit of its former owner, the late Leslie Duck, who shot himself in 2001.
"Nobody told David and Victoria about the ghost until after they had brought the property. Victoria is seriously spooked and refuses to set foot in it. After three years of avoiding the place, they've finally decided to sell it," Contactmusic quoted the insider, as saying.
A neighbour added, "Leslie was very distinctive looking. He has been seen limping around the estate or heard mumbling about historic naval battles he was passionate about."
