A press conference being held by Aam Aadmi party (AAP) leader Prashant Bhushan was disrupted on Monday by a man who claimed to be a member of a right-wing group that attacked the AAP headquarters in Ghaziabad earlier this month.

Bhushan had organised a press conference to thank activist Medha Patkar for extending support to the AAP earlier on Monday.

The man, who said his name was Vishnu Gupta, claimed he was part of the Hindu Raksha Dal and said he was protesting against Bhushan’s remark over a referendum in Jammu and Kashmir. “Arvind Kejriwal wanted to talk to us. We are ready for talks. He said his party would not associate itself with the Congress, but now he is taking support from them,” Gupta told a TV channel after the incident.

Around 30 Hindu Raksha Dal members had attacked the AAP office in Kaushambi last week. Thirteen people, including Bhupender Tomar, alias Pinki Chowdhary, coordinator of the Hindu Raksha Dal’s Ghaziabad wing, were arrested after the attack.
