Big B, Chandra Barot to come together again?

The director of the original Don is planning Don 2 - The Return of the King, informs Vajir Singh.

It’s raining Dons these days. Even before the news of Shah Rukh Khan planning a sequel of Don with Farhan Akhtar has died down, the director of the original Don, Chandra Barot is planning Don 2 - The Return of the King.

Barot agreed he plans to get back to direction after a hiatus of 28 years. But he denied the news of making the sequel. After a pause, he asked, “Who told you about Don 2?”

When told that a source informed us, he said, “It is just speculation.” According to the source, the film will feature Amitabh Bachchan in the lead.

The source added that Barot spoke to Bachchan, over the phone and narrated him the storyline. It is said that Bachchan seems to have responded positively. “I’m definitely in touch with Amitji, that’s it,” he said.

The meeting between Barot and the Big B is expected to take place next week. “I’m working on my script. Why don’t you come to my office? We’ll talk about it,” Barot stated.

The film will be backed by Sahara, said the source. “Negotiations have been on for a long time but nothing has been finalised. Why don’t you wait for an official announcement?” asked Barot.
