The Bihar Assembly elections were a tough, nail-biting affair for the all the players involved and on Sunday when the results were being declared, it was equally difficult to decide who had the best analogy, commentary and memes on Twitter.
As the initial trends started trickling, Twitterati whipped out its weapons to fire away at the various news channels, who gave the numbers, for their hits and the misses. Those who came out with the exit polls for the month-long elections were equally at the receiving end.
Sample a few tweets as and how the news about the results unfolded:
When trends were coming in, tweets about the unpredictable situation was the flavour of the day:
Modi: Nitish wanna hear a joke? Nitish: Sure Modi: Bihar Nitish: I didn't get it. Modi: Exactly!!! #BiharResults— Haatim Tau (@HaatimTau) November 8, 2015
As with the exit polls and a similar confusion reigned supreme, news channels were hauled up.
Dear News Channels, Take a break for an hour or two. Come back when you have some results. Stop confusing the hell out of us. #BiharResults— That Guy (@avid__dreamer) November 8, 2015
And as the Nitish Kumar-led grand alliance appeared headed to form the next government in Bihar, people talked about confusion all over again:

BJP president Amit Shah was once again at the forefront as people poked fun at his comment that firecrackers would go off in Pakistan if his party lost in the crucial elections.
Get crackers, get Pakistan visa and a cheap air ticket #BiharResults— Ashwin Francis (@AshwinFrancis) November 8, 2015
Then the focus shifted to what made the BJP lag behind:
Then came the usual advice about what to do and what to avoid:

They forecast the future of the state, the main leaders involved and had some below the belt comments about its people:
And finally when picture was clear, talk about sweets and crackers went off all over again:
