Whether AAP will accept him, he does not know. But as he blogged his wish, objections poured, with a majority questioning his background.

Matuknath was first suspended on July 15, 2006, after his ‘love story’ with his student came to be publically known. Three years later on July 20, 2009, he was dismissed from service by the Patna University.

The same month, he appealed before the chancellor and finding no action for months, moved the Patna high court on April 21, 2010, through a writ.

Later, on November 10, 2011, the chancellor issued notification reinstating him in service in Bihar National College. But Matuknath, who was recently directed by the court to give Rs. 15,000 per month to his first wife as maintenance till the disposal of the case, is undeterred.

“I have talked with AAP leader Prof Anand Kumar in Delhi and wanted to join there, but I was asked to join in Patna only,” he said.

According to Matuknath, his liking for AAP is for the simple reason that it is different. “I am also a revolutionary and want complete change in the political, social and educational fabric. India is due for a revolution and AAP could bring one through its courage to challenge the corrupt system and the growing VIP culture,” he said.
