Three bike-borne robbers barged into the office of a supplier of construction material, and robbed him of cash and jewellery items worth around Rs 3 lakh in east Delhi's Shahdara on Friday evening.
The robbery took place around 7 pm in Navin Shahdara area where the victim owns his office.
Thirty-two year old Sandeep Khurana was alone at his office when three unidentified men arrived on a motorcycle. When the men entered Khurana's office he thought they had come to meet him for some business-related matter.
"Before Khurana could ask them about the purpose of their visit, one of the men took out a pistol and pointed it at Khurana. He threatened to kill him and asked him to part with whatever cash and valuables available with him," said a police officer.
The other two robbers, the officer said, overpowered Khurana and took out Rs 80,000 cash from the cupboard. They also took Khurana's gold chain, ring and other jewellery items he was wearing and fled.
"After the robbers left, Khurana raised an alarm and called the police control room. On the basis of his statement, we have registered a case of robbery and are looking into the matter from robbery as well as other possible angles," the officer added.
