As a part of mordernising the district Zila Parishad, a Bio-metric attendance system (MUDRA) is being installed there, which is expected to be operational within a week, its Chief Executive Officer Subhash Hazare said on Monday.
This system will scan the finger prints of the employees and their attendance will be recorded daily bringing in discipline ensuring accountability, Hazare told reporters in Thane.
Claiming that it will help improve the productivity of the Parishad employees, he said that it will cover 253 schools, 78 PHCs, 26 teams, 35 offices, 8 Integrated Child Development Schemes, a total of 400 places, besides the headquarters.
The system will cover all employees attached to the Zilla Parishad head office, other offices and also the schools coming under the Parishad, he said.
In case any employee goes to any other department or on outdoor duty he is required to record his attendance in the system and this entire movement is online and monitored from the headquarters, he added.
Also, as it will be linked to the central server presently being used in the headquarters, there is no additional expenditure for the system he said.
The number of employees to be covered by the system will be around 7000 which will include 270 from the HQ, 218 PS level senior officers, 2200 staff members, health department employees from various PHCs totalling 1400, 1800 teachers, 300 gram sevaks, and 400 employees from animal husbandry department.
In the second face all schools and teachers of the Zilla Parishad will be covered under the scheme, he said.
