BJP, BJ ?face-off? likely

BHARTIYA JANATA Party (BJP) and Bhartiya Janshakti (BJ) workers would be ‘facing’ each other at Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee statue on Friday if they stick to their scheduled time to observe the death anniversary of Jansangh founder.

According to the State Bharatiya Janata Party media-in-charge Vijesh Lunawat, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and the BJP leaders would garland the statue of Dr Mukherjee at 9 am.

The Bhartiya Janshakti leaders have also decided to offer floral tributes to the leader at the same time. The BJP leaders who would gather at the statue include Kaptan Singh Solanki, Industries Minister Babulal Gaur, MLA Umashankar Gupta and other MLAs and leaders. Symposia would be organised to commemorate the leader at the district and divisional headquarters.

The district Bharatiya Janata Party president Surendra Nath Singh said that workers would organise programmes at mandal level to pay tributes to the leader.

The Bhartiya Janshakti leaders would also organise a symposium at Gandhi Bhavan near Polytechnic Square at 10 am. BJ leader Bhagwandas Sabnani informing about the programme said that Raghunandan Sharma would be the main speaker at the symposium. Hindu Ekta Manch president Om Mehta would preside over the programme.
