BJP blasts HM for music launch after Patna blast

india Updated: Oct 28, 2013 14:02 IST

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday lashed out at Union home minister SushilKumar Shinde for attending a Bollywood event in Mumbai on Sunday evening, hours after a series of blasts rocked Bihar’s capital.

At least five people were killed and more than 90 others injured in Sunday’s blasts, which took place ahead of BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi’s rally at Gandhi Maidan in Patna on Sunday.

Taking a jibe at Shinde for attending the music launch of Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming movie, Rajjo, in Mumbai, BJP leader Kirti Azad said the former is not able to do anything and is a laughing stock.

“You find him dancing and releasing music cassettes when innocents Indians died on Sunday in Hunkar Rally. I would say, we should not be asking resignation because they have to go anyway within 200 days from now,” he added.

“Shinde is a laughing stock, like the Prime Minister, not only in India but across the globe, the kind of statements that he gives,” Azad added.
