Himachal Pradesh BJP unit is gearing up for the three-day training camp to assess its "preparedness" for the upcoming general elections and formulate ways to ensure better coordination between the party and the government.
Party President Rajnath Singh, National Vice Presidents Bal Apte and Shanta Kumar, srganisational General Secretary Ram Lal are expected to participate in the meeting starting on August 28, state party chief Jai Ram Thakur told PTI on Sunday.
State office-bearers, district heads and representatives of various wings would be attending the programme to be held at Himachal Pradesh Institute of Public Administration (HIPA) at Mashobra in city outskirts.
Thakur said "the camp will discuss preparations for the general elections and ways and means to strengthen the party in the hill state. Steps will be adopted to broaden interaction between the party and the government."
Singh would evaluate the functioning of the eight-month old Prem Kumar Dhumal government and appraise if the election promises are fulfilled, he added.
