A BJP loyalist's finger was severed when he was attacked allegedly by a group of CPI-M workers at Thillankeri, about 40 km from Kannur on Sunday.

The BJP supporter, N Rajeesh (25), who is an autorickshaw driver, was asked for a trip to a nearby place by the alleged miscreants. They then waylaid Rajeesh and stabbed his legs and hands. One of his fingers got severed in the attack, police said.
