Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi is on solid footing in home state Gujarat, where his party may sweep all 26 Lok Sabha seats, according to CNN IBN-The Week March Tracker.

The survey says the BJP may get between 20 and 26 seats in Gujarat if elections were to be held immediately.

The projections are bleak for the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), whose leader Arvind Kejriwal was in Gujarat last month to fact-check Modi’s development model.

According to the tracker, both parties could even draw a blank; the Congress may get up to 4 seats, while 2 could go the way of the AAP and others.

The BJP has 17 Lok Sabha seats and Congress 9 from the state in the outgoing Lok Sabha. The AAP is making its national debut.

In Madhya Pradesh, the survey sees a thumping win for the BJP, which could win between 24 and 28 seats. This could mean a near sweep in the state with 29 seats.

The Congress is projected to get between 1 and 5 seats in the state, where chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan scripted a hat-trick in assembly polls last year.

The saffron party apparently has the advantage in Maharashtra as well. Of the 48 seats, the BJP and its allies, the Shiv Sena and the Republican Party of India, may win between 24 and 30, the survey says.

The ruling Congress-Nationalist Congress Party alliance may get between 16 and 22 seats, the survey adds.

The projection for the AAP, Raj Thackeray’s Maharashtra Navnirman Sena, the Bahujan Samaj Party and other parties is not rosy; they may collectively get between 1 and 3 seats.

In Chhattisgarh, the vote share projections point to a relatively close contest between the ruling BJP and the Congress. The BJP may secure 44% vote share and the Congress 39%.

Chhattisgarh has 11 Lok Sabha seats.
