The borders continue to bleed with a war-like situation due to relentless firing and mortal shelling by Pakistani Rangers, but the Centre seems to be busy dealing with Delhi assembly polls.

This was said by Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party chairman and former minister Harsh Dev Singh while addressing the border migrants in Vijaypur and Ramgarh areas.

He said that rather than sending Union ministers and concerned authorities to visit the affected families to provide much-needed relief and rehabilitation, the Centre has chosen to recall all its ministers to the national capital to participate in the Delhi elections.

Expressing grave concern over the shelling and Centre's apathy, he called upon the Union and the state government to accelerate the relief measures in border areas.

Strongly condemning Pakistan, Harsh said India has to ensure safety of its border population. He further called upon the Centre and the state government to provide a permanent solution for the rehabilitation of border migrants, who are often displaced due to frequent shelling by Pakistani troops.
